Encounters
The past few weeks have been pretty astounding at UC San Diego. Lots of miracles and breakthroughs. At our last LG, there was an incredible move of the Holy Spirit bringing freedom and inner healing. I have never been in a gathering quite like it. God was moving upon students all over the room. Some were weeping, some convulsing, others shaking under the power and love of God.The orphan spirit was being challenged and broken off and the spirit of adoption was being released.
Last night God encountered me. I wasn’t expecting it, which is usually the most transformative encounters. As a leader in ministry, you’re taught to always have the answers and to always have it together, which is a self-destructing mentality. You’re taught to be self-contained, driven, and self-reliant, which is quite opposite of the DNA of the Kingdom. I broke down in the arms of the Father last night. I won’t go into the details, but I am different. He reached down and extracted things that have been barriers for years and replaced them with love. I was reminded that God loves BEFORE we do anything or say anything. He loved us before we came into the world. He likes us as we are and that He likes to play and rest.
I am excited to see what God is about to unleash at UCSD. What we have seen up to this point has been hard to articulate, but I believe what is coming next will be hard to fathom. His Kingdom is always advancing and we are called to go from glory to glory. I am thankful for what God did Tuesday night at our LG, but I know there’s another level of His glory to be encountered.
Come Lord Jesus, come!
