Eruptive
So much is happening right now in the Spirit and in the natural. I feel like I am waiting for Old Faithful to erupt at Yellowstone National Park when I was a wee child. In anticipation I would gaze with an intensely focused stare that would bring enormous jungle mammals to their knees. You could feel the ground vibrating and the sulfur gases spitting out teasing you like a little school girl on the playground.
God is up to something…I mean, something quite profound and huge. I don’t ever remember a time that I have felt it so strongly. His new wine is about to be tossed down from heaven. Some wine skins will be unable to bear it and they will burst. Others will begin to stretch almost to the breaking point, but they will catch what God is up to and be able to carry it to those that are incredibly thirsty. It’s a time to ask the Holy Spirit to conform us to the image of Jesus. He is the ultimate conformist. He wants nothing more than us to look and act like Jesus and He is willing to do whatever it takes to make that so. God will pour out His Spirit on anyone, but He won’t pour His glory out on just anyone. He is looking for lives that have been conformed, where they have been carved by the Spirit preparing a place for the glory of God to fill. 2 Corinthians 4:7- we are containers made for His glory.
My heart is crying from the depths with many others, holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, the whole earth is full of his glory. Just like Moses when he encountered God’s glory, everything changed. Even his physical appearance carried the brightness of his glory. I want people to see the brightness of heaven when they look at my face. Whatever the cost, I just want more.
Come with your glory God and fill this container.
