Tijuana Missions Trip Recap
Here is my anticipated recap of our missions trip to Tijuana this past week. It was a whirlwind of activity and an amazing invasion of Heaven. My first missions trip ever was in Tijuana when I was in 8th grade. I had never been back since, so it was a fresh reminder of how far I have come in Jesus.
On this trip we partnered with Bethel Church in Redding, CA. Met some incredible people. All together there were around 70 of us between UCSD group, Bethel, Bakersfield group, and various individuals.
I will point out some highlights of the week. Thursday night I was invited to speak at a local Mexican church. They had advertised throughout the community a night of the supernatural. I greeted them with “hola” and then my Spanish ceased beyond that point, haha. Through a translator I spoke very briefly about the Father and His love for us and all the access He has given us. God was wanting to move, so I have learned to shut my mouth and let Him do His thing. I asked who had Asthma and 3 stood up and 2 were instantly healed. I then saw angels all over the church and a line of them came in front of the church. So, we did a fire tunnel. Over 300 people came through the tunnel. There was so much hunger in the place and God always meets hunger. Healing was happening all over. Things like scoliosis, injuries, necks, backs, and so much more. Halfway into the tunnel several started to manifest demonically. I actually like it when demons show up because it’s an opportunity for the Kingdom to be truly demonstrated. People can argue whether or not a person was in pain, but you cannot argue when some who is writhing like a snake responds to the whispers of a son or daughter carrying the authority of Jesus. Jesus would usually tell people to be hush hush when He healed them, but when it came to deliverance, He would tell them to spread the message all over.
I have never been in a gathering where so many were being delivered at one time. I love seeing darkness flee and the Light of His Glory shining. There was also a woman with stage 4 cancer who came up for prayer. As Erik Bagley and I prayed, I sensed God saying to run my hand over her spine without touching it. She was “pushed” forward without being touched as I did this. I then felt God’s glory around us and it was as if we were standing in a “pocket” of His glory. So, I began to fan His glory on the woman and she collapsed. We are believing she was 100% healed.
The next night we were at Revolution Street, which is the main drag of Tijuana. We had an open-air rally with worship, prophetic words and art, and demonstrating the Kingdom. The Origins fam went on stage at one point to release the Father’s love and talked about spiritual family. It was powerful. A blind eye was opened, a deaf ear was opened. Many were healed in the crowd. And again, many demons manifested. It was quite a sight in the open-air. It made me think that most likely it’s how it looked when Jesus and the disciples went into villages. We were able to lead 3 people to Jesus AND see them delivered of demons. I know there was much more that happened too. Now that is a good night.
The final night for me was Saturday night where a small group of us went back to Revolution Street to be a part of gay pride parade. We were going to simply declare the acceptance of the Father, His goodness, and display His Kingdom. So, we had a spiritual readings station, face painting station for kids, and waited on Holy Spirit to highlight those He was moving upon. This atmosphere was certainly not for the faint of heart. We were in the midst of darkness but the Spirit inside of us is GREATER than anything in this world. So, I began to walk around declaring peace, joy, and love. Becca was playing guitar and shifting the atmosphere as well. So much happened at the parade. 6 people came into relationship with Jesus. Others were being touched by the power of God and literally falling out in the middle of Revolution Street. At one point I was standing behind the crowd that were watching transvestites perform on stage and one transvestite in the crowd turned around and we made eye contact. I saw in their eyes something and the Holy Spirit said, “they will come to know Jesus tonight”. Well, he was the last one of the night praying to receive Jesus. Hello Jesus!
I love it when Jesus shows up in setting like that. One that is so offensive to religious people. A place where the furious love of God breaks through the darkness and deception and pours lavishly upon those He has created.
It all makes me hungry for more. I cannot stay satisfied. His Kingdom is ALWAYS increasing.
